Would you know who to call if your credit card was stolen? Would you even know the card number? Here are 3 very easy ways to find any important paperwork in 5 minutes or less. 1. A 3-ring binder Either hole punch or buy sheet protectors. You can even put tabs to separate the sections ex. Owners' Manuals, Warranty info, insurance, automotive, etc. 2. A Box It can be decorative or plain. Organized or not. It's just some place to put all your important papers that is easily accessible but contained. 3. A File Folder/Accordion File This is really easy, but you would need a bookcase, file cabinet or something similar easily accessible. Otherwise the file would get in the way or end up with other items piled on top. The whole point of putting all your important documents in one location is so you won't have to hunt and search for the information when you need it. If you keep it in an easily accessible location you can grab it as you head out the door during a fire, flood, etc. after all of your family is safely outside of course. So the next time your washer breaks, the fridge isn't working or the air conditioner decides to stop cooling your house; you can find the right person to call quick, fast and in a hurry!
